Library Construction:

This library was developed in Unreal Engine 4 for one of our lore trailers, with the goal of creating a mystical and magical atmosphere to complement the storytelling.

To achieve this, we utilized UV projection to create the book shelves, and a multi-step workflow that included ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine to bring to life the small creatures roaming the environment with their homes. This approach allowed us to achieve a high level of detail and bring a touch of personality to the scene.

 

Animated Book Creation

The Animated book was created utilizing Maya for animation and Substance for texturing. The pages were the result of a collaboration between myself and Joxonart, one of the 2D concept artists I work with. By combining Joxonart's artwork with additional elements created in Photoshop, we were able to develop a comprehensive layout featuring mythological characters and unique language unique to Antreya Studios.

Early iterations of the book animations and tests within Unreal Engine evoked a reminiscent atmosphere of a scene from the Harry Potter universe.
